- Entrepreneurship in Poland is female and certainly has a woman's face - said the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Jadwiga Emilewicz during the Women Entrepreneurship Forum 2018. The organizer of the event, which took place on November 16, was the Polish Network of Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors Foundation. The Polish edition of the forum has become part of the calendar of the World Women's Entrepreneurship Day (WED - Women's Entrepreneurship Day).
This year's forum was held under the slogan "Make friends with Artificial Intelligence... it's happening - Blockchain, Virtual Reality and other cosmic technologies in business". The leitmotif of the event was the practical application of new technologies in business. Speakers explained, among other things, what modern technologies we are dealing with, what are the possibilities and how to use them in practice.
- In Poland, the number of women on management boards and managerial positions exceeds statistically other countries, we are higher than Germany, the United Kingdom or the United States - said Jadwiga Emilewicz. - Every third company in Poland is founded by women. What's more, the research that we have done in collaboration with PARP, showed that women do it not because they are forced to do so, but because they want to - added the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology.
About 300 people took part in the event. One of the most important points of the program was the presentation of the protagonists of the book "Ambassador of Entrepreneurship in Poland. Never! Do not give up. How 21 entrepreneurial women think and work". The publication is the effect of cooperation between entrepreneurs who wanted to inspire and help other entrepreneurs in achieving their goals. The book includes stories of professionally active women who have achieved success in their field, being an example that determination, ambition and hard work give fruitful results.
Among the characters in the book is Oksana Yarema, founder and president of the board of the Fingrow Consulting Group. - I believe in the potential of every company - I can see it and turn it into success. Hence the name of my company: FINGROW from the words FIN, i.e. financial and GROW, i.e. increase. I provide entrepreneurs with long-term development and multiplication of profits. I adhere to the principle “nothing is impossible” - says Oksana Yarema.
The main characters of the publication were invited to the stage, among others accompanied by minister Jadwiga Emilewicz, where a commemorative photo was taken.
